The DBAR 5 - Step
The DBAR - 5 Step is our year round lawn fertilization program that will help to suppress and eliminate weeds, strengthen existing turf to help maintain a full and lush lawn.
Step 1
Our first round of product is a pre-emergent herbicide that will create a barrier on the subsurface of your soil to prevent new weed seeds from germinating. At this time we will also spot spray any weeds that are visible in your lawn
Step 2
Our second application will be another round of Pre-emergent with fertilizer. The product we use will add another layer of protection against weed seed germination as well as early post emergent control of crabgrass and Japanese Stiltgrass. The fertilizer in this product will help green up your existing grass and strengthen the roots. This visit also includes spot spraying of emerged weeds in your lawn.
Step 3
Our third application is a high iron, low nitrogen fertilizer that will help darken your lawn as well as strengthen your turf. This is a summer stress fertilizer that will help your lawn fight against drought and heat conditions. Spot spraying for broadleaf weeds and any young emerged crabgrass will be done at this visit.
Step 4
Our fourth application will be a blanket application of herbicide to kill any broadleaf and grassy weeds in your lawn. Every square inch of your property will be sprayed at this time.
Step 5
Our fifth visit will be a fertilizer application to feed the lawn and give the lawn energy to fight through the frost and cold of Winter. The root system will store most of this nitrogen throughout the Winter to help with Spring green up the following season. Spot spraying of emerged weeds in the law.
Bonus Step
This program is built around core aeration and over-seeding in September which is not part of the 5 step program.
